Growing up, the only Happy New Year song that I can remember is by Swedish group ABBA.
A song that would be a regular on All India Radio's 'Saturday Date' back in the 70s and early 80s was the 'Calendar Song' by Boney M.
While the Calendar songs just takes us through the months, I've particularly liked this song that runs us through the months and hightlights of the year including celebrations and festivals.
