Happy Friendship Day

Wishing all my friends - new and old, from near and far - a Very Happy Friendship Day.

Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite songs dedicated to friends.

You've Got A Friend

Heard this one on the radio as a little kid. This song is as young as me.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call.

That's What Friends Are For

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for.
In good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more.
That's what friends are for.

You've Got A Friend In Me

Theme from Disney favorite "Toy Story". This song was on a list of consideration at the competition for which I trained the boys of Our Own English High School, Sharjah to a winning performance a couple of years ago. A wonderful song, that touches the soul.

We'll stick together, we can see it through
Cause you've got a friend in me.

On Friendship Day, we should take the time to recall the friends we have had over the years.

Starting with Mom and Dad, our brothers and sisters, neighbours, batchmates, workmates, choir members, band mates or just anybody that we have encountered in a group or just bumped into on the bus or train or the mall and started chatting with.

Facebook and WhatsApp helps connect us to recent friends as well as old friends. Twitter helps us reach out to new friends and communities. i take this opportunity to personally thank each one of you for the difference you make in my life. But more than that, I pray that you may be forever blessed with lots and lots of great friends.

Your entire family was gifted and I consider myself honoured to have had you guys as my neighbors. I'm glad you have continued in doing wonders in the field of music while your siblings have devoted their time and energies keeping up to their respective responsibilities & commitments. Keep up the good work Sunil

Thanks @Despotix for your comment.

You are possibly the very first Event Manager I encountered - organising Entertainment, Sports and lots of events in the colony. I possibly did the first commentary ever at the Twinkle Star Cricket Tournament.
Wishing you and your family the very best. Do catch up when you're in Mumbai next.
